Langford Sound and Stage is a commercial recording studio and a dual theater complex primarily for the use of musicians in the north Georgia area. Langford Sound & Stage is located in the Roswell Village Shopping Center at 633 Holcomb Bridge Road (corner of Holcomb Bridge and Alpharetta Highway) in Roswell, GA.
Admission to this event is FREE. Doors open at 10:00 a.m.
THE PROGRAM
The program for the day is pretty much set at this point. Below is the full list of titles we'll be showing plus descriptions of each. There will be 10 - 15 minute breaks between each feature.
10:30 am Doctor Who "The Story of Doctor Who" (2003)
The BBC-produced 40th Anniversary documentary with participants including all the living Doctors, many of the Companions, producers, directors, script writers, and even a few folks from inside monster costumes, all discussing their time on the show. Features many clips from the series.
11:30 a.m. Doctor Who "The Rescue" (1965)
The 1st Doctor, Ian and Barbara arrive on the planet Dido in the 25th century, where they find a crashed space craft in which two survivors wait for a rescue ship from Earth. The female survivor, Vicki is instantly friendly, unlike her paralysed companion, Bennett, who remains a mystery.
12:30 p.m. Doctor Who "Tomb of the Cybermen" (1967)
The 2nd Doctor, Jamie and Victoria arrive on Telos, legendary home of the Cybermen, to find an archeological expedition from Earth exploring the underground remains of a Cyberman city. But are the Cybermen really all dead?
2:20 p.m. Doctor Who "Destiny of the Daleks" (1979)
Arriving on a desolate planet, the 4th Doctor and the 2nd Romana discover the signs of drilling being carried out. They encounter the Movellans, a race of physically perfect humanoids who have been locked in combat with the Daleks for centuries. He begins to suspect that they are on the planet Skaro, where the Daleks are now searching for their creator Davros in order to gain a strategic advantage.
4:15 p.m. Doctor Who "Black Orchid" (1982)
The 5th Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa and Adric land near a village green in the 1920s and the Doctor is mistaken for a friend of a friend who'd been asked to help out with a cricket match. After the match, he and his companions are invited to the home of Lady Cranleigh. Her son's intended, Ann, looks identical to Nyssa and the two hatch a plan to exchange places at a fancy dress ball. Things however turn from the idyllic when a murder takes place and the Doctor becomes the prime suspect...
5:15 p.m. Doctor Who "DragonFire" (1987)
The 7th Doctor and Mel arrive on Ice World, a deep space trading post and are reunited with Sabbalom Glitz who joins them in search of the mythical Dragon. Mel befriends a waitress called Ace who is rather keen on explosives. The Doctor finds the Dragon and collects the power crystal from it, but is forced to give it to the crazed ruler of Ice World, Kane, in order to save Ace's life.
6:40 p.m. Torchwood "Everything Changes" (2006)
When Torchwood arrives on the scene of a brutal murder, WPC Gwen Cooper's burning curiosity is challenged. Their attitude, their approach and their technology is at odds with everything she knows. But investigating the investigators leads her into a dark, paranoid world she never imagined existed.

CONCERT
Stick around after the film festival for a very special concert by Louis Robinson. Louis is a former BBC employee, working in his early days as a film editor, eventually becoming a director, writer, composer, etc. Louis did film editing on Doctor Who during the Jon Pertwee era. He is also a singer/songwriter, and will be giving a performance that evening at 8:00 p.m. Admission for his performance is $10.00, but participants in our event will be admitted for $5.00.
